The Purple Goat opened its doors in August 2021 as the newest member of the Creative Cuisine Company family. Located in the former Shopko North building in northwest Rochester, our restaurant combines a spacious, welcoming atmosphere with a menu full of American classics—each with a fun, creative twist.
Inside, you’ll find seating for 166 guests plus 24 at our lively bar, and when the weather’s right, our expansive patio comfortably hosts 100+ more. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or drinks, The Purple Goat offers something for everyone—fresh sandwiches, hearty salads, signature entrées, and unique seasonal features.
Of course, no visit is complete without one of our famous Watermelon Margaritas or another craft cocktail from our full bar. Casual, creative, and community-minded, The Purple Goat is Rochester’s go-to spot for great food, drinks, and good times.

Excellent food and service! We were in Rochester and ate a late lunch at the Purple Goat. I would highly recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap sandwich or the Tuscan Chicken Club. Both were excellent. The fries are crispy, not greasy and tasted great-some of the best we have eaten. Don't hesitate eating there if you are looking for a place to eat a great meal. Fast and friendly service. We will be going back!
All of our meals were scrumptious! Our server was great. The menu options are hard to choose from, but only because everything is so good! I highly recommend getting dessert as well. We'll be back for more. I can't wait to be able to sit out on the patio in the summer, too.
Great place for gluten free food. They have a dedicated fryer, so I was able to get fries! Service was great and drinks were good as well.
